This unique, disk-to-disk alternative replaces conventional tape-based systems with a fully automated, remote cloud solution. It lets you quickly recover lost files, documents and critical data, safeguarding you from business disruptions and long-term damage that lost data can cause.

Powered by the only FIP-140S certified compliant system available today, this agentless backup service is designed to work without the need to install agents on your servers. Instead, your system is backed up directly to the DSS Data Center. Plus, the service can decrease the storage load on your local server by moving rarely accessed files off site, saving you expensive space.

 

The CloudZone BDX offering has two main components:

CloudZone BDX DS-System is located in the DSS Digital data center and stores data sent from various DS-Clients. Data lies encrypted on the DS-System storage. A single license is used to provide backup/restore services to multiple remote locations.

CloudZone BDX DS-Client is located at customers’ sites and remote locations. It collects data from the customers’ physical and virtual machines and transmits it to the DS-System, over the WAN. The DS-Client performs de-duplication, compression and encryption before transmitting the data to the DS-System. The DS-Client license is free of charge and customers may install as many as required. It may run on a physical or virtual machine.

 

CloudZone CDX keeps your system up and running instantly

CloudZone CDX eliminates the traditional chain of backup processes and their inherent flaws. It features an on-site agent that attaches to your servers, paired with a cloud-based remote data center, to provide instant on- and off-site virtualization, backup verification and lightning-fast business continuity.

The agent installed on your servers takes hourly snapshots of your entire system and sends it to the secure, off-site DSS data center. CloudZone CDX converts data directly from your servers into virtual machines (.vmdk files) that can be booted instantly from a remote web interface. If one server goes down, CloudZone CDX can can immediately substitute for it. Or, it can function on behalf of your entire system, because snapshots of every server are stored remotely. The service can be managed locally or via secure web interface.
