Client File Upload
Welcome to the DSS Printing file upload area. Please follow the
instructions below to upload your file to our secure FTP
Mac OS 10:
- In the Finder, Select Go, and Connect to Server
- Enter: ftp://ftp.dsssecure.com
- Select Connect
- Enter Login name and Password
- Select Connect
- Select OK
- Should be able to drag and drop files
Windows XP:
- Go to My Computer
- Click on My network Places
- Click on Add a Network Place
- Add Network Place Wizard should open
- Select Next
- Select Choose another network location
- Select Next
- Enter: ftp://ftp.dsssecure.com
- Select Next
- unclick Log on Anonymously
- Enter Username
- Select Next
- Enter a name for this connection (anything you like)
- Select Next
- Select Finish
- Will ask for username again, and password
- Select Log On
- Should be able to drag and drop files
Windows 7:
- Go to the Windows "Orb" Icon (Bottom left corner)
- Click on Computer
- Click on Map Network Drive
- Click on Connect to a Web site that you can use to store you documents and pictures.
- Select Next
- Click on Choose a custom network location
- Enter: ftp://ftp.dsssecure.com
- Select Next
- Uncheck Log on Anonymously
- Enter Username
- Select Next
- Enter a name for this connection (anything you like)
- Select Next
- Select Finish
- Will ask for username again, and password
- Select Log On
- Should be able to drag and drop files
Software:
- Enter the following settings in any FTP Client Application:
- Server: ftp://ftp.dsssecure.com
- Leave "path" or "directory" blank
- Enter username and password
*If you cannot connect with FTP software, it is most likely because the
software is set to use
the standard FTP protocol which comes in on port 21.
You need to use software, which connects
via SFTP, which is the secure FTP
protocol, and uses port 22.
The following software has been tested, and works well:
Mac:
- Interarchie
- Captain FTP
- CuteFTP
- Cyberduck
- FTPeel
- Transmit
